Meet Your Wedding Officiant

I'm Trin, founder and legally ordained officiant behind Verus & Vow. I'm based in Contra Costa County and provide services within the Greater Bay Area. I've spent most of my life being the person who notices when someone in the room needs noticing. Officiating is one of my jobs that I'm most passionate about, because it's where that natural instinct actually matters.

Let’s be honest, your ceremony shouldn’t feel like a lecture you didn’t ask for, or a meeting with your HR department. My style is spiritually grounded without being tied to one tradition. Whatever your path looks like, whoever you love, however you got here: I hold your ceremony with the same reverence, the same warmth, and the same refusal to make it boring.

Two halves of the same job

The story: I write ceremonies that sound like the two people standing there. That means asking real questions and actively listening to the answers, then building something around the details nobody else would think to include. The goal is a room that laughs and cries tears of joy in equal measure. Balanced.

The legal part: As a current law school student, I take the paperwork as seriously as the poetry of writing and officiating your ceremony. Your California marriage license is completed, returned to the county within the ten days state law requires, and handled without you having to think about it once.

Held is a standard, not a decoration.

Something always goes a little sideways on a wedding day. Unexpected background noise, a cue gets missed, the wind picks up, somebody's hands won't stop shaking.

My job isn't only to say the right words. It's to hold the shape of the room while that happens. To manage the pacing, steady the transitions, and carry whatever needs carrying, so that what you feel is the moment itself and nothing underneath it.

That's what held means here. It's not a tagline. It's how I work.
